Training Workshop Content

This session explores a broad range of aspects within the LGBTQ+ community, including mental health and wellbeing, and provides the means to creating a more inclusive workspace.

This includes the explanation of common definitions and concepts including the ever-evolving LGBTQ+ acronym, the difference between sex and gender and different sexual and gender minorities. This will lead into a exploration of how sexual and gender minority identities have been viewed throughout history and contemporarily across different cultures, and the mental health issues the community faces today.

Following on from this will be a discussion of the minority stress framework, and how the knowledge we gain from this can be used to educate on how to be a supportive ally to LGBTQ+ people both at home and in the workplace.

IS THIS WORKSHOP SUITABLE FOR?
